Transgender representation has proliferated in globalized cultural production in recent years. Consequently, transgender studies has become an important wing of gender studies. Work in French studies, however, has been slow to intervene into the bourgeoning discussion in any substantive way. This volume aims to consider cultural production in which French studies and transgender can be placed into productive dialogue.
