The Womens, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) program at Northeastern University, located in the College of Social Science and Humanities, encourages critical feminist exploration addressing intersections of gender and sexuality with race, class, nation, religion, issues of transnational feminisms, and other social justice issues.
We support a Visiting Scholars Program intended for researchers who address such issues and would benefit from spending some period, up to one academic year, in residence at Northeastern University, located in downtown Boston.
Visiting Scholars have access to Northeastern University library and email privileges as well as to shared office space. They are invited to participate in all Program events, but provide their own financial support during the residency.
Scholars may send an application providing a 1500-word description of the research or creative project for the appointment period, dates of expected residency, and current curriculum vitae with the names of references to :
