Goals
This research group de recherches includes researchers working on language as a social institution and the practice of speech in interaction.Topics
- December 2006: debate between Chomsky-Fitch-Hauser and Jackendoff-Pinker on the evolution of the language faculty.
- January 2007: Construction Grammars - We discussed two papers by Adele Goldberg. Construction Grammars tackle the concept of representation (a fundamental concept in Generative Linguistics) from a usage-based perspective. A brief introduction to Construction Grammars in French can be downloaded here (pdf document).
- February 2007: Politeness Theories from the 1970s up to now, analysed from a constructional perspective.
- Decembre 2007: The concept of face : linguistic and ideological aspects.
